If you love playing the guitar or listening to the sounds it produces then this day is for you.

We can all hear and see the immeasurable impact the guitar has on various musical genres. From the classical compositions of Mozart and Bach to the legendary blues of B.B. King and Muddy Waters, and the electrifying rock ‘n’ roll of Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, the guitar has transcended boundaries and shaped the evolution of music. It has become an essential element of pop, country, jazz, metal, and countless other genres. The versatility of the guitar allows musicians to create a wide range of sounds, making it a fundamental instrument in both solo performances and full bands.

The Origins of National Guitar Day

The origin of this National Guitar Day is unknown but every year on February 11th beginner and pro guitar players and enthusiasts around the United States celebrate National Guitar Day, also known as Get Out Your Guitar Day. This day was created for guitar players either virtuosos or beginners to pick up the guitar instrument and string all day and night.

    Roots of the Guitar

The guitar’s roots can be traced back thousands of years. The first guitar-like instrument can be traced back to 1500 B.C. in Iran and it had four strings. Its predecessors, such as the ancient Greek kithara and the Spanish vihuela, paved the way for the modern guitar as we know it today. It was in the 17th century that the classic six-string guitar, with its familiar shape and structure, emerged. Over time, innovative musicians and designers enhanced the instrument’s design and sound, leading to the creation of iconic guitar brands like Fender, Gibson, Martin, and more.

National Guitar Day is not only a time to honor the guitar’s past and present but also to inspire the next generation of musicians. Many guitarists have achieved legendary status, becoming role models for aspiring players. Their talent, dedication, and innovation serve as an inspiration for young guitarists to pursue their musical dreams. On this day, workshops, concerts, and educational events take place to encourage and support emerging talents, ensuring that the guitar’s legacy continues for years to come.

February 11th, National Guitar Day, is a time to celebrate the magic and impact of this beloved instrument. Whether you’re a seasoned or beginning musician, an aspiring player, or simply a fan of great music, take a moment to appreciate the guitar’s influence on the world of art and culture. As we strum the strings and play our favorite tunes, let us honor the guitar’s legacy and the countless artists who have given us the gift of their melodies. So, pick up your guitar, play a chord, and join the global celebration of National Guitar Day.

How many strings does a guitar typically have?

    Guitars typically have six strings.

What are the two types of guitar strings?

Steel strings and nylon strings. Classic guitars often have nylon strings, and both acoustic and electric guitars normally have steel strings.

    Who crafted the acoustic guitar?

Spanish artist Antonio Torres Jurado crafted the acoustic guitar in 1890.

    Celebrating National Guitar Day

You can celebrate National Guitar Day in many ways like playing the guitar, learning to play the guitar, listening to guitar music – We’ll make a playlist for 2024, going to see a local band or attending a concert, taking part in some guitar-related activities like playing guitar hero or air guitar and thanking or supporting a piano player.

Aside from that, Goobster has worked with many local artists’ sounds from the San Fernando Valley and major surrounding cities like Los Angeles, Glendale, Santa Clarita etc.

Goobster’s Room Studios’ past clients include Crippled Mane, as well as lots of local artists from the LA area/throughout the San Fernando Valley, and many more.

“Can’t Back Out – EP” by Crippled Mane which released on October 8th, 2021, was recorded at Goobster’s Room.

“Not only was the entire project Recorded, Mixed, and Mastered here, but each song was mixed with the full track-out stems and reached a sonically competitive/professional level that I know many other artists could achieve as soon as they walk through these studio doors. I truly believe that people who work in this studio will make their best music to date if they take the opportunity to lock in and build!” – Christian tells us.

We asked Christian what inspired him to start his studios he says… “What inspired me to start my studio was to be able to provide people with the absolute BEST engineering services possible so that they could make their music sound GREAT and have their music live on for an ETERNITY! I remember when I first got into music, a good engineer was really hard to find! After booking countless sessions over at bigger studios, I remember feeling upset and unhappy with the services that other people provided because it felt like if you weren’t already a big name, most engineers didn’t even care for your craft. Not only that, but if you were a big name, or if they did care to put in some effort, i’ve always found that naturally the stuff I did to the records just sounded better and it was very rare for me to come across another engineer that knew more than me, let alone just as much as me. So that’s why I decided to start my studio, to provide people with the best services that most other studios lack. No disrespect to any other spot because I know there are good studios and engineers out there, but for me it was pretty hard to find those good apples. That’s why for those reading I would like to say,  Congratulations, you’ve found the ABSOLUTE BEST! And if you don’t believe me, try booking a session or getting a mix done for yourself so you could really see all the greatness I can provide to bring your visions to life!”

When we asked what Goobster’s Room Studios mean to him, he says “My studio means excellence. In Goobster’s Room, we do not cut corners or settle for mediocrity. I assure every artist that walks through that door that I will always give them my all to make sure that their vision is properly executed and brought to life! Whatever help they need in the studio, I will provide. I will always make sure to put the artist first so that whatever they create, they are happy with, and to help them leave behind a legacy of greatness and… Excellence.

For those who want to make classics, or just make their music sound as best as possible tap into Goobster’s Room Studios on Stufinder. Goobster also has a YouTube channel where he will be posting tutorial videos and all things engineering/music.

Christian found out about Stufinder through from his friend Michael Tobinsky over at The Bunker Recording Studios.

“My future plans for the studio is to continue helping artists make their music sound as best as possible! Also when the time is right I will expand into bigger and better locations to help even more artists and build/train a team of engineers to help elevate the quality of music overall as a whole. Aside from that I will also continue to build an online presence to expose more people to what we have going on and show them what could be achieved through the power of engineering! Such as engineering tutorials on my YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. And hopefully find other vessels to share this immense knowledge I’ve earned to better the community overall as a whole” – Christian tell us.

  • Happy World Music Day 2023

    Happy World Music Day 2023

Today, June 21st is World Music Day. World Music Day is a day that has been observed since 1982 and is a day dedicated to celebrating music. World Music Day, also known as Fête de la Musique, originated in France in 1982. Jack Lang – the French Minister of Culture at the time and Maurice Fleuret – the renowned French composer and music journalist, conceived the idea. Their vision was to create a new musical holiday, a day where amateur and professional musicians could freely perform music in public spaces, offering their music to the world and inspiring a sense of unity through the shared love of music.

Maurice Fleuret chose the summer solstice, June 21, to be the day when the musical holiday is celebrated and he called it “Fête De La Musique”, which in French means “festival of music.” “Fête De La Musique” is also a homophone of “Faites de la musique” (“make music”). The latter became the slogan of the festival, which is why World Music Day is also known as “Make Music Day”.

We celebrate music everyday.. Watch our To Those Who Love Music Ad below

Share the love for music today with family, friends, neighbors, or even complete strangers!

From all of us at Stufinder, Happy World Music Day and go out and celebrate or create music. We have something big planned for next year.

Today on World Music Day, we release a new ad titled “To Those Who Love Music” directed by Israel Learsi.

Not one studio was shown in this ad.

World Music Day goes all the way back to 1982. Maurice Fleuret, French composer, music journalist, and Jack Lang, the director of music and dance in the Ministry of Culture, promoted the creation of various music events. Their vision was to create a new kind of musical holiday – a day where anyone can freely play their instrument or live music everywhere.

Maurice Fleuret chose the summer solstice, June 21, to be the day when the musical holiday is celebrated and he called it “Fête De La Musique”, which in French means “festival of music.” “Fête De La Musique” is also a homophone of “Faites de la musique” (“make music”). The latter became the slogan of the festival, which is which World Music Day is sometimes known as “Make Music Day”.

Traditionally music is played outside in parks, public squares, and other public spaces. We created this commercial to reflect music both made outside and the ones in the studio straight to your digital streaming platforms.

  • January 20th is National DJ Day

January 20th is National DJ Day

January 20th: Celebrating National DJ Day and the Masters of the Turntables.

On January 20th, music listeners & enthusiasts around the world come together to honor the masters of the turntables, radio personalities, and celebrate the artistry of DJs on National DJ Day. This special occasion recognizes the profound impact that DJs have on the music industry, from setting the mood in clubs to curating electrifying sets at festivals.

    The Art of DJing

DJing is a multifaceted art form that involves blending, mixing, and manipulating recorded music to create a seamless and captivating experience for the audience. DJs possess a keen understanding of rhythm, melody, and crowd dynamics, allowing them to read the energy of a room and curate the perfect selection of tracks to keep the dance floor moving.

DJs have a unique ability to set the mood and create an immersive atmosphere through their music. Whether it’s a sultry lounge, a high-energy nightclub, or an outdoor festival, DJs skillfully navigate through different genres and styles to evoke specific emotions and connect with the audience on a deep level.

One of the most captivating aspects of DJing is the art of live performance. DJs blend tracks on the fly, seamlessly transitioning between songs, creating mashups, and incorporating live remixes, all while maintaining a connection with the crowd. Their performances are a delicate dance between technical expertise, creative expression, and an intuitive understanding of the audience’s energy. Witnessing a skilled DJ in action is an experience that can electrify and unite a crowd like no other.

    The First DJ in History

The very first disc jockey appeared many years before disc jockey was even a term, In 1909, 16 year old, Ray Newby of Stockton, California, became the world’s first DJ, he began by playing records on a small spark transmitter, supervised by radio pioneer Charles “Doc” Herrold.

“We used popular records at that time, mainly Caruso records, because they were very good and loud; we needed a boost… we started on an experimental basis and then, because this is novel, we stayed on schedule continually without leaving the air at any time from that time on except for a very short time during World War I, when the government required us to remove the antenna…”

    Ray Newby, “I’ve Got a Secret” (1965)

    Coining the Term “DJ”

The term “disc jockey” came in 1935, American radio commentator Walter Winchell coined the term “disc jockey” (a combination of “disc”, referring to the disc-shaped phonograph record, and “jockey”, an operator of a machine), he used it to describe radio announcer Martin Block, the first radio announcer to achieve widespread fame for playing popular recorded music over the air.

    The Origin of DJ Day

The history of how National DJ Day came together still isn’t clear. There is no mention of the first year this holiday was first celebrated or who started it. However, it is believed to honor the death of Alan Freed (December 15, 1921 – January 20, 1965) who was an influential disc jockey in the 50s.

As time goes on, National DJ Day celebrates the influential role that DJs play in shaping the music industry and bringing joy to countless music lovers worldwide. It is a day to honor their artistry, recognize their contributions, and appreciate the transformative power of music in our lives. So, let us come together and pay homage to the masters of the turntables who keep us moving, grooving, and dancing to the rhythm of life.

    How to Celebrate DJ Day

You can celebrate National DJ Day and show your appreciation for DJs by attending a live DJ event, creating a DJ mix or DJ live, hosting a party with other DJs, etc.

DJs are cultural ambassadors who break down barriers and bring people from diverse backgrounds together through the power of music. Their ability to blend genres, fuse cultures, and cross musical boundaries promotes inclusivity and fosters a sense of unity on the dance floor. National DJ Day celebrates the role of DJs in creating a space where people can come together, let loose, and celebrate the universal language of music.

Whether you are a new DJ who just got your first gig two weeks ago or have DJd in tons of clubs, festivals, and parties across the world, Stufinder celebrates your dedication and passion for being a DJ and on this day we celebrate you.

    National Title Track Day

National Title Track Day aka Title Track Appreciation Day is every year on the fourth Friday of May. A title track holds a special place within an album. It sets the tone, encapsulates the overarching themes, and often acts as a sonic representation of the entire body of work. It serves as a gateway, inviting listeners to delve into the artist’s world and providing a glimpse into the artistic vision behind the album. A well-crafted title track can leave a lasting impression, becoming synonymous with the album itself. On Title Track Day, we take a moment to celebrate these memorable melodies that bear the same name as their respective albums.

Title Track Day emerged as a grassroots celebration among music enthusiasts who recognized the impact and significance of title tracks in albums, it’s unclear where exactly the holiday came from but it is something that is now observed in the world. The exact origins and the specific individuals or organizations responsible for its inception may be difficult to trace, as the concept gained traction organically through the collective love and appreciation for these defining compositions.
