Feedback (noun)

Type: noun, effect

Pronunciation: /feed-back/

What does Feedback mean?

An effect that feeds the output signal back into the input signal.

Feedback is an effect that feeds the output signal back into the input signal, similar to a delay or distortion, to enhance the effect. The more feedback a delay has, the longer the effect will last. A delay or distortion effect relies on the signal it is producing being fed back into its own input, to result in a sort of reverberation.

Example sentence: “The audio wasn’t providing any feedback.”
