What does Phaser mean?

A time-based effect/proccessor that filters a signal creating a series of peaks and troughs in the frequency spectrum.

Phaser is a time-based effect/proccessor that filters a signal creating a series of peaks and troughs in the frequency spectrum. It copies a source and then changes its phase by adding a delay under 1ms, mostly modulated with an LFO and mixing it with the original source. Phaser allows you to control the phase between two identical signals. Phasing adds audible peaks into the spectrum.

Example sentence: “Can we add a phaser to just that WAV file.”
