Coke La Rock is the inventor of the “Hotel, Motel” line, reused by Big Bank Hank from The Sugarhill Gang. Recorded in Atlanta, GA.

August 11th, 1973 marked the birth of Hip-Hop, this was the night DJ Kool Herc threw his sister Cindy Campbell a back to school party in their building located in the Bronx at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue & Kool Herc isolated the breaks with his turntables. Coke La Rock was at the party on the mic, rapping, rhyming, calling out names and more. Coke La Rock was also a DJ and would DJ at these events.
