What does Pop filter mean?

A filter placed in front of a microphone to reduce the sound of plosives/”pop” sounds.

A pop filter is not a filter in your DAW.

A pop filter is placed in front of a microphone or between the microphone and vocalist to prevent loud “pop” or “p” sounds created by breath directed toward the microphone.
