What does Nondirectional Pattern mean?
1. A microphone pattern that picks up audio from all directions.
2. A speaker pattern that sends out signals evenly in all directions.
Nondirectional patterned microphones (sometimes also also known as “Omnidirectional”) pick up everything around. Omnidirectional microphones are great for ambiance, especially field recordings.
